SURVEY METHOD Vietnam Report used the Branch Coding method (evaluating company reputation in the media) to analyze the reputation of businesses in the construction and building materials industry in Vietnam. Vietnam Report coded 1,366 news articles published on influential media websites from January 2019 to March 2020, corresponding to 3,468 coding units. These were evaluated at the story level, considering 24 specific aspects of company activities, including products, business results, market, and leadership reputation. Information was coded based on two basic principles: the company name appears in the article's headline, or the company's information occupies at least 5 lines in the article. This is considered the recognition threshold for analyzing valuable data. The information was assessed at the following levels: 0: Neutral, 1: Positive, 2: Quite Positive, 3: Unclear, 4: Quite Negative, 5: Negative. The final evaluation was categorized into 3 levels: Neutral (0 and 3), Positive (1 and 2), and Negative (4 and 5).
